ISAAC CORDAL

Isaac Cordal (Pontevedra, 1974) is a Galician sculptor based in Bilbao. He studied sculpture at the School of Fine Arts of Pontevedra and then trained for five years at the School of Canteiros in the same city, specialized in the stone craft.

Isaac conveys an unhappy image of society with disturbing humor. “We live in a society full of uncertainty; I am interested in using creation as a fighting strategy to try to understand the world we have created and, if possible, change it.”
“I consider sculpture as a poetic act to reflect on the world we build”
